Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Spanora collects, why, where it goes, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Spanora is a sole trader business, ABN 73 859 156 472, based in Melbourne, Australia. We are covered by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and we apply them regardless of turnover thresholds.

What we collect, and only this

From the enquiry form: your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and whatever you write in the message box. Phone and message are optional. Nothing else on that form is hidden.

From your visit: our web host records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, which is how any website works. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

We do not collect: payment card details, date of birth, government identifiers, or any sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act. We have no reason to and we do not ask.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to build the free demo you asked for, and to contact you about the work you asked about. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.

Where it goes

Your enquiry is emailed to us and stored in our email. To make that happen it passes through:

Cloudflare, which hosts this site and runs the form endpoint.
Resend, which delivers the notification email.

Both are overseas providers, so your information is disclosed outside Australia, which Australian Privacy Principle 8 requires us to tell you plainly. We do not use any other third party to process enquiry data.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not use Google Analytics.

If your browser stores anything, it is a single preference for whether you chose the light or dark version of this site. That never leaves your device and we never see it.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many people reached a page. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not identify you, and does not follow you to other sites. We chose it over Google Analytics for exactly those reasons.

If we ever switch to something that sets cookies or tracks you across sites, this page changes before that goes live, not after.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, unless a law requires us to keep a record.

Client records are kept for five years, because Australian tax law requires business records to be retained for that period.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you
correct anything that is wrong
delete your enquiry

Security, stated honestly

The site is served over HTTPS and the form endpoint holds its credentials on the server, never in the page. Enquiry data sits in our email account, which is protected by a strong password and multi-factor authentication.

No system is perfectly secure, and we are not going to claim otherwise. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will tell you directly rather than quietly editing this page.
